Britney Jean Spears
Britney Jean Sparrow was born in McComb
(Mississippi) on the 2nd of December, 1981. She raised in Kentwood (Louisiana).
As a youngster, Britney attended dance classes, and she was great at
gymnastics. She was a winner of many contests and other similar. But, most of
all, Britney loved to sing. At age 8, Britney was a contestant in The All New
Mickey Mouse Club (1989), but was refused due to her young age. Then, she was
directed to "Ruthless" which was an off-Broadway production, where
she starred in the role of the title persona for two years. When she was 11
years old she was back in the running for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989)
and she made it as a mouseketeer along with numerous stars of today (Justin
Timberlake and JC Chasez of *NSYNC , and Ryan Gosling). The biggest break for
her, however, was after she was signed as Jive Recording Artist in the late
90s. Britney was an enormous hit following her first album, "Baby one more
time." "...Baby one more time" in 1999. She also sold over 13
million copies (as of July 2001) of her follow-up album "Oops !...I did it
Again" that was released in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne
Spears and Jamie Spears. She has one of her brothers Bryan Spears and a little
sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney, a child of Madonna, Mariah Carey, and
Whitney Houston, was always determined to be a star. Britney was a candidate
for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on TV at age 8. But she was too
young to play the role. Britney relocated to New York with her mother and baby
sibling. She appeared in numerous TV advertisements as well as being the
understudy of Natalie Portman in "Ruthless" off-Broadway. The passion
for dance and music took over and two years later, she auditioned again for
part in "Mickey Mouse" again, and this time, won the role with
Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
