Emma Watson
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was the child of British parents Jacqueline Luesby, a lawyer as well as Chris Watson, a teacher who taught in Paris, France. At the age of five, she moved to Oxfordshire, where she was a student at the Dragon School. The film broke records in opening-day ticket sales and opening week-end takers and was the most-grossing film of 2001. The film's performances as well as those of its three stars were well-received by the critics. The Daily Telegraph, a British newspaper with a huge circulation, said that her performance was "admirable". Emma was awarded the Young Artist Award as Leading Young Actress in an Feature Film and was nominated for five awards. Emma was among the most famous actors after the success of the film. Hermione Granger remained her role for nearly ten years in the Harry Potter films. Emma has received two Critics' Choice Awards nominations from the Broadcast Film Critics Association.
